This Privacy Policy explains how Belevate Media LLC ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Belevate Club Downloader and Belevate Club Transcribe (together, "the Apps"), our website belevator.co and the Belevate account dashboard at dashboard.belevator.co.

1. Information We Collect

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information for advertising purposes, and the Apps do not contain advertising or behavioral tracking. We only collect what is needed to sell, deliver and support your license:

• Purchase and account information. When you buy a license, our payment provider shares your name, email address and billing country or postal code with us. We use your email address to create your Belevate account (email, name and a password stored only as a secure hash) and to send your license key. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are never received or stored by us.
• License verification. When an App checks your license, it sends your license key, your computer's name (hostname) and which App is checking. Our server records the computer name, the IP address and the time of the check so that a license can be used on one PC. You can see and disconnect your PC in your Belevate account.
• Support. If you contact us through the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address and message.
• Local settings. Application settings, preferences and your saved license status are stored locally on your device so that the Apps can function correctly.

2. Files and Content Processed by the Apps

Belevate Club Transcribe processes your audio and video files locally on your computer. Speech recognition, word alignment, speaker detection and AI caption polish run on your device; your media files are never uploaded to our servers.

Belevate Club Downloader sends the links you paste to the website they belong to in order to retrieve the content you requested, and saves the files to the folder you choose. Conversions run locally on your computer.

We do not upload or store the files, links or captions you process with the Apps on our servers.

3. Internet and Third-Party Services

Some features connect to third-party services, only when needed or at your request:

• Stripe processes payments and manages yearly subscriptions.
• Hugging Face hosts the AI models that Belevate Club Transcribe downloads when you choose to install them.
• Anthropic (Claude API), only if you use the optional Claude polish with your own API key: the transcript text and word timings are sent to Anthropic. Audio is never sent.
• Microsoft WinGet may be used, with your consent, to install the download tools that Belevate Club Downloader needs.
• Websites you download from receive the requests needed to deliver the content you asked for.

Those third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, availability, or content of third-party services.

4. Diagnostic and Technical Information

The Apps do not collect analytics or behavioral tracking data.

When you visit our website or dashboard, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security logs. This information is used for hosting, security, abuse prevention, and website operation. Our website uses only the cookies needed for it to work, such as security and session cookies.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us run the Services (payment processing, hosting and email delivery), or when required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent fraud or abuse.

6. Data Retention

We keep your account and license information for as long as your license is active and as long as needed to provide support, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. License verification records (computer name, IP address and time) are kept while the computer is connected to your license. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to legal retention requirements.

7. Children's Privacy

The Apps and Services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete the information.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information under our control, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and hashed passwords. However, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location (for example, under the GDPR), you may have rights relating to your personal information, such as the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of certain processing, or a copy of your data. To make a privacy request, contact us using the details below.
